The Fredericktown High School Alumni Association is pleased to announce the Rusty & Mary Dalrymple & Family Scholarship established by Richard Dalrymple to honor his parents, Lawrence "Rusty" Dalrymple and Mary McClelland Dalrymple (FHS '31), and his late brother David Dalrymple (FHS '58).
"I was looking for a way to permanently honor my parents and my brother," said Richard. This scholarship represents a family's commitment to education and community service that spans generations, recognizing the values that Rusty and Mary instilled in their children and the legacy they built in Fredericktown.
Mary McClelland Dalrymple - FHS Class of 1931
Mary McClelland graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1931, establishing a connection to the school that would span decades through her family's involvement in the community. As a devoted wife and mother, Mary was instrumental in raising two sons who would go on to make significant contributions to their community and beyond.
Lawrence "Rusty" Dalrymple - Community Leader
Rusty Dalrymple was a pillar of the Fredericktown community, dedicating himself to public service and community organizations. His leadership and commitment to bettering his community served as an example for his sons and countless others who knew him.

David Dalrymple, Class of 1958, exemplified the family's commitment to education and service. After graduating from Fredericktown High School, he pursued higher education in the sciences, ultimately earning a PhD in Chemistry.
